Description: D.O.G.G.S. (Dog Owners of Granby Getting Social)
is a community volunteer organization that established this
fenced-in off-leash recreation area within Salmon Brook Park.
Dogs of all sizes are allowed, and there can be up to 3 dogs
per person. All dogs must have current license and shot tags
on their collar/harness; be accompanied and in sight of their
owners/custodians at all times, and under voice control. Choke,
prong, or spiked collars are not allowed inside the off-leash
area. Owners/custodians must carry a leash at all times, and
dogs must be leashed entering and exiting the dog park. If
you have a small, older, infirmed, or a shy dog, use the small
dog area. You must clean up after your pet immediately, dispose
of their waste properly, and fill in any holes they may dig.
Females in heat; unaltered males, sick, or aggressive dogs
are prohibited in the park and for the safety of all, immediately
leash your dog if it exhibits aggressive behavior and leave
the dog park area. The picnic tables are for the dogs to play
on, but feel free to have a seat; however, food or drink for
humans is not allowed within the fenced area.

Description: The Hamden Dog Park is completely fenced with
a brick path and patio, a separate small dog area with separate
entrance, benches and picnic tables (mostly for the dogs to
play on or under), and a compressed gravel trail. It is wheelchair
accessible. Dogs of all sizes are allowed, but owners/custodians
must carry their leashes on them at all times. All dogs must
have current license and shot tags on their collar/harness;
be accompanied and in sight of their owners/custodians at
all times, and under voice control. If you have a small, older,
infirmed, or a shy dog, use the SMALL DOG AREA. You must clean
up after your pet immediately, dispose of their waste properly,

also a dog-free zone that is a fenced in area for small children
or for people who just want to come, sit, and watch the dogs
in the park. There are also landscaped trails around the entire
park that you can walk with your dog on lead.
